At the time of this post, there are over 85,000 movies & tv shows on Amazon, where 17,000 are free for Prime members. I’m a big fan of Amazon and while I did not specifically sign up for Prime Membership for the movies, it is a nice bonus. (I signed up for the 2-day free shipping). I thought I’d just throw a list out there of some of the best/most popular Amazon Prime movies & tv shows available for free streaming.
Note: Amazon recently raised their Prime Membership fee to $99. This is the first price increase in 7 years. In my opinion, the service is still a steal.

The Amazon Prime movie selection is not wildly great. Definitely not nearly as comprehensive as Netflix….but it’s not bad and it’s growing. Amazon has some free classics that are great. Whether it is it free or not, I can almost always find the movie I want on Amazon. Although I have Netflix, I still use Amazon as my online movie rental company.
